This is something I've been meaning to tackle for a while now.  It's time to chic-tify {Chic to Fire...get it? haha} my home!

I will be moving this summer and I plan on DIYing the heck out of

the new spot, to make it a creative sanctuary for my youngins and I. So, expect to see a lot of kool random things for ideas. This video in particular is for jewelry and nail polish displays. I want a really cute and chic display…has to exude That Fashion Chick.

It's almost party time Chicks! This year I want to try something more subtle and less flashy {opposite...I know}. Check the looks below, which give you an idea of what I'm talking about:

A little nontraditional but you will still make a statement. When you pick subtle garments with nice detail, accessorizing is the real focus.

Neiman Marcus has 3D-printed Jewelry

3D-printing is on the rise {not just clothes} jewelry + others are taking a piece of the action. Neiman Marcus is amongst the few who are testing the waters. They just added two 3D-printed pieces online {a necklace $295 & a desk sculpture for $395}.

The cool thing about this is Neiman Marcus wont be holding the product for purchase; the customer orders the piece they want and its a guaranteed three week turnaround. Products will be produced and shipped by Shapeways {3D-printing company}. This is a great business move for Neiman Marcus...less risk and a great way to introduce a new product to their customers.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It was another great event That Fashion Chick, LLC was a part of {sponsors}, selling our TFCB jewelry and promoting the company at the same time! It's still new for me getting out networking for TFC since I focused heavily on our online presence {which is fantastic} and to really promote {by myself with my personal brand}, is a little scary and EXCITING all at once. 

Special thanks to Renata Brown {CEO of ARTSON365}! That Fashion Chick attended the ARTSON365.com 2nd Annual Showcase & Conference Benefiting Cancer Support {TFC attended the Saturday event}.  Each sponsor went on stage and promoted their company/brand and I was nervous, but it was real kool. S/O to the host for Saturday's event, Keegan Leiba {from Trinidad & in the Entertainment/Fashion Industries}...he shouted out my company a few times during the show, which was sooo AWESOME!

I was really focused on promoting and selling so I  didn't capture all the moments I would have liked, like the performances and spoken word {all were amazing}, but I plan on going back next year bigger and better. DIY: Utility Rope Necklace {Honestly WTF}

Here is a DIY you should try Chicks!
Make your own utility rope necklace...these are pretty trendy. The colors and decor are a nice touch of culture and very inviting. This type of necklace will jazz up a simple look and easy to throw on. Take a look below!

Supplies & Tools needed {via Honestly WTF}:

• 25 feet of 3mm utility rope
• 12 – 14 pieces of 3/8″ brass compression sleeves
• 3-5 yards of 0.8-1mm Chinese knotting cord
• 2 12mm x 16mm cord end caps
• 2-3 jump rings
• 1 lobster clasp
• gel super glue
• scissors
• pliers

...simple enough right?!

Angelina Jolie is a designer now {surprise...sarcasm}. This is actually for a great cause. She recently opened an all-girl school in Afghanistan and plans on opening more with the profits of  this jewelry line {100% of the profits will go to the Education Partnership for Children in Conflict}.
