Carlo Pignatelli Cerimonia Men Spring/Summer 2014 Milan Men's {Watch This!!}

When it comes to high fashion...of course I love my home - the great US of A, but I must say Italy is #1 for me, as far as fabric choice and taste level goes, for the fashion industry. You know my favorite designer is Roberto Cavalli, who just emulates the essence of Italy oh so well.

Check the 2014 Spring/Summer Collection by Italian designer Carlo Pignatelli Cerimonia {gowns for women too}...talk about glam & being dapper!

Neiman Marcus has 3D-printed Jewelry

3D-printing is on the rise {not just clothes} jewelry + others are taking a piece of the action. Neiman Marcus is amongst the few who are testing the waters. They just added two 3D-printed pieces online {a necklace $295 & a desk sculpture for $395}.

The cool thing about this is Neiman Marcus wont be holding the product for purchase; the customer orders the piece they want and its a guaranteed three week turnaround. Products will be produced and shipped by Shapeways {3D-printing company}. This is a great business move for Neiman Marcus...less risk and a great way to introduce a new product to their customers.

3D-printing is where it's at!

Prada’s {expensive-as-Hell} fur coat!

Prada
I read an article about high-end fashion prices sky rocketing but WOW. Prada has a fur coat that is supposed to be the ‘IT’ coat from its Fall 2013 collection (amongst the rich that is...cough} and the price tag is $140,240!!

 It is a gorgeous coat and a classic so this would be the only fur coat you need for the rest of your life!

Christian Lacroix pays homage to Elsa Schiaparelli {Fashion Icon}

The artist and contemporary designer Christian Lacroix {who closed his fashion house a few years back, but has move to costume designing for the theatre} payed homage to the late great Italian fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli in Paris at the Les Arts Decoratifs during Paris Couture Fashion Week. This special tribute was by invitation of La Maison Schiaparelli.

  Lacroix designed an 18 piece collection, inspired by Schiaparelli who was a very influential fashion designer during the beginning of the 20th Century. She is best known for her play on colors, elaborate draping and lobster embellishments to name a few...her rival was Coco Chanel. Schiaparelli was a true designer who took major chances back in her day and did not limit herself to traditional styles.

The pieces in this exhibit wont be for sale. The exhibit was intended to pay homage and bring attention to the fact that the House of Schiaparelli may be reopening {RTW & haute couture collections}. Well done Christian Lacroix.

This is so amazing...these pieces are Art!

Angelina Jolie has a jewelry line {fashio for a cause}

Angelina Jolie is a designer now {surprise...sarcasm}. This is actually for a great cause. She recently opened an all-girl school in Afghanistan and plans on opening more with the profits of  this jewelry line {100% of the profits will go to the Education Partnership for Children in Conflict}.

Angelina rocking her jewels
  Jolie has launched her high end jewelry line called "Style by Jolie", which was co-created by jeweler Robert Procop {out of Beverly Hills}, same designer that did her engagement ring.

As Angelina herself possesses many talents and dimension, these jewels mirror that depth with a spectrum of delights. At one end are the sensuous, rounded curves of the cushion and sumptuous pear-shaped pendants that conjure the archetype of the eternal feminine. Other jewels resonate with a bolder aesthetic via sharp, dramatic lines. Yet a unified aesthetic remains: richly saturated, monochromatic gemstones are sculpted and cradled in a rich array of golds. Every treasure echoes the potent appeal of a woman’s timeless allure.

You can purchase Jolie's line exclusively at Tivol in Kansas City, Missouri. Check out the collection below!

Asos + Markus Lupfer Collaboration

Fresh off of one collaboration {with UK brand Whistle} into another, UK designer Markus Lupfer is on a roll! Lupfer was recently tapped by Asos to design an affordable leather collection. The collection consists of chic black leather pieces with cool orange and navy prints.

"The pieces are contemporary, fun and easy-to-wear — a combination of separates that go right through from day to night, and have something for everyone, which is something I always try to provide," Lupfer said. "The leather elevates the feel of things to a more luxury place and gives the very wearable pieces a slightly more special edge."

The collection {set to hit Asos.com later this month} looks high-fashion but the price points are said to be budget friendly. Can't wait to see the rest!!!
