Fashion Life: Applying for Fashion School in Japan - by Christina {Watch This!!}

Check out this video by a dope chick named Christina, who is studying abroad in Japan {*one of my spots*}. Christina is sharing her experience, in the video below.
..........

I had to stay in the states for school {Buckhead, Atlanta}...abroad was my first choice. The great thing about it tho, I can guide my daughter for an abroad education in fashion {6 more years!}.
Seek out schools early, for the young ones interested in a fashion career {parents ask me all the time}. You don't have to know a lick of fashion; you WILL be taught {just bring your PASSION}! =D

Watch This!!

S/O to the chicks I've mentored along the way: Rose, Janeese, and Taliyah!! These young ladies have promising futures in fashion {various careers}.

Uniqlo opening a U.S. e-commerce! {#GetTheDeal!!}

Uniqlo
Don’t we as Americans {or anyone for that matter} love our good quality fashions, at awesome deals?!  The popular international retail chain, Uniqlo {which only has physical U.S. locations in NY and San Fransisco} is launching a U.S. e-commerceFINALLY!!
The Japanese based retailer is looking to take Uniqlo to higher heights.  Opening this U.S. e-commerce will help Uniqulo decide on its next location in the U.S.  AND they are thinking about moving their headquarters here to the U.S.…Interesting.
“Hopefully, we can hire and find the talent. Global e-commerce is headquartered in Japan, but we’re open to moving the global headquarters to the U.S. We feel there’s more talent and more knowledge in the U.S.”-Shin Odake, Uniqlo’s U.S. general manager
Special promos like $9.90 denim and cashmere sweaters for $59.90-$99.90 will be going on.  The online store launches some time this week so keep an eye out!
You have to see what you're in for.  Get acquainted with Uniqlo HERE NOW!

It's HARAJUKU baby!!

It wasn't until one of my favorite celebrities turned designer, Gwen Stefani, brought Japan's culture of style to the main stream of America. Its Harajuku baby!!  I was in high school at the time, but as soon as I started college (not too long after the introduction) I was on a hunt to really dissect this style of fashion.

I am always inspired by the Harajuku style. I love the creativity of having fun with the clothes, shoes and accessories.  It's full on fashion from head to toe.  This style of fashion defines the true meaning of expression.  This is the norm in Japan, but a HUGE head turner in America. lol

I will continue to share more of the Harajuku fashion.  Click here to check out these two looks broken down piece by piece!
