Tokyo Street Style

If you have been following That Fashion Chick, you know I'm a HUGE fan of Japanese fashion!  Refinery 29 actually took a trip to Japan for Japan Fashion Week, and took some great shots of the street fashion they saw.

I like to see what the people wear from head to toe, because it is always interesting.  I get inspired by the different elements of their style.

Watch This!!: Japan Fashion Week

I am a huge fan of the fashion that comes out of Japan (i.e. Harajuku), it just says 'free' to me.  As soon as I came across this video, I had to share.

My Harajuku fix

Gwen Stefani's miniature Harajuku line for Target!!

As you know, Gwen Stefani is one of my most favorite celebrity designers.  Though her clothes are slightly out of my budget, well a little more than slightly, they just became that much more affordable for kids. She is designing a miniature Harajuku line for Target for infants, toddlers and tweens!

I so wish she would make a more affordable version of L.A.M.B for Target, but hey anything for the kids.

The pictures I have seen thus far are just too adorable.  Gwen Stefani and her team did a great job at capturing the essence of the Harajuku style, but scaling it down for the little people. The kid's line hits stores on November 13.

It's HARAJUKU baby!!

It wasn't until one of my favorite celebrities turned designer, Gwen Stefani, brought Japan's culture of style to the main stream of America. Its Harajuku baby!!  I was in high school at the time, but as soon as I started college (not too long after the introduction) I was on a hunt to really dissect this style of fashion.

I am always inspired by the Harajuku style. I love the creativity of having fun with the clothes, shoes and accessories.  It's full on fashion from head to toe.  This style of fashion defines the true meaning of expression.  This is the norm in Japan, but a HUGE head turner in America. lol
