 Every now and then I get on my soapbox, regarding the fashion industry's direction. 

In my opinion, the fashion industry is  where creatives can ultimately be creative with limitless reach. Fashion provides total expression! 

Good, bad, or indifferent, fashion is a useful source at displaying "the here, and now" {out with the old...in with the new. Gotta keep up!}.

Fashion is not only about apparel...it gets political.

 The highest way fashioners handle their discrepancies: hit the runway or put it on a t-shirt!

Nothing like a fashion tantrum{we STRUT-T-T👠 it out}.😂 It's creative, non-violent, fierce, and lucrative!

H&M is Eco-friendly and Socially Aware

 Fast fashion retailer, H&M knows how to keep consumers coming back for more! After coming off a successful collaboration with fashion designer Isabel Marant, H&M is about to launch a new Eco-friendly denim line {end of February} that consist of jeans, jackets, vests in different washes. Get this; each item is made of 20% recycled cotton {which is the max, standard}.

I remember H&M launching a program that accepted used clothes from their customers, in return for a discount. Well, they collected 7.7 million pounds of used denim! H&M is on to something here...a portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity. H&M is also paying of looking to pay factory workers a living wage.

 Hello wonderful That Fashion Chick Lovers!! I, Lakia Fashae', am back from my peaceful and somber vacay in my home town, Anchorage, AK!  Let me tell you, that was greatly needed.  I'm glad you got to get more acquainted with That Fashion Chick intern, Janeese. You know her by her signature, blue font post..she did an AWESOME job!

It has been confirmed that singer, Lana Del Rey is the new face of H&M!  That is GREAT news for Lana Del Rey, being that she recently signed a modeling contract with Next Model Management {Check out her cover issue for New York Times Style Magazine}

They didn't even switch up her personal look for the campaign!  How about her look?!? We are #DiggingHerStyle =D

Look out for the ads now and during H&M's fall campaign as well!

Watch This!!: H&M has another collaboration!!!

Anna Dello Russo,  stylist and Vogue Japan editorr, has designed some accessories for H&M, which will hit stores on October 4, 2012!  It was only a matter of time before H&M put to there their next collaboration.  I am pretty interested in seeing these pieces.

I enjoyed the video below, so be sure to watch it.  The video gives you an idea of what this collaboration has in store!

David Beckham for H&M

Remember I told you to keep a look out for David Beckham's Bodywear line for H&M, come this February?! 

Well this past Friday, David Beckham held a store event at an H&M store in London (Beckham's birthplace) where he first launched his new Bodywear line for H&M!  It was a great turnout and we are ready for the undies here in the US.

“I am very proud to launch my bodywear collection for H&M in London- It was amazing to see the product at the in-store launch after so many months of development. I loved the pop-up gentleman´s club, which felt both traditional and brand new. It´s the same mix I hope men will find in the Bodywear collection” says Beckham of the event.

Marni for H&M

Surprise, surprise! I previously reported that Tom Ford could possibly be the next designer to collaborate with H&M.  Well, it is official now that Marni will be the next label to make an H&M debut!

Marni will be doing a collection for the Spring 2012 season.

Versace for H&M!!!!

The high fashion line Versace will debut a special line for H&M this Fall, in 300 stores and online. This new hot line will be inspired by Versace archives starting back in '78 .  The line will be for men and women! The pieces will include apparel, accessories, jewelry, and home goods.  The launch date is November 17, 2011.

This is so cool, I don't know what to do with myself! This is a surprise to me that Versace would do this, being that they really don't have to, but I LOVE IT!!! Everyone remember November 17, 2011...I know I'll be getting my pieces! :D
