Red Carpet: 2013 Emmy Awards {My FAVES!!}

The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards were held September 22, 2013. A lot of ladies came to the red carpet looking rather glamorous, which is the ideal look for the Academy Awards.

Within the past few years, 'glam' and 'chic' have formed a pretty solid bond {I'M A FAN OF CHIC APPEAL}. Chic adds that extra something to a look.

You know I love to pick my faves for the red carpets {some of these chicks are regulars}. I look for personal style, like does this look represent who's wearing it?. I also look for head-to-to cohesiveness and just that overall eye-catching appeal...#StyleConfidenceIT!

Welcome Back: John Galliano gets a little help from Oscar de la Renta

I must say I am positive about the change that just got the fashion industry talking MORE than we already do!

Iconic fashion designer Oscar de la Renta {love him} is going to be lending his studio for the next few weeks to the ‘blacklisted’ fashion designer John Galliano. This is major being that Galliano was fired from his personal label and Dior. He made anti-Semitic comments to a few individuals at a cafe in Paris, two years ago

Personally, I was sadden by John Galliano's actions, because he is a true artist {like, for real}. Though that does not excuse his actions. I knew he would come back...too much talent to sit on. Galliano spent some time in rehab for his alcohol addiction {which was a factor} and avoided the spotlight, though his name made headlines a couple times for some designs during those 2 years.

Everyone deserves a second chance.  He is a new man, so hopefully he takes advantage. I think this is big of Oscar de la Renta.  Galliano is working on his Fall ’13 collection…can’t wait to see his comeback…this will be good! #WelcomeBack

Oscar de la Renta has sunscreen

Oscar de la Renta is making your trip to the beach or just out in the sun a little safer.  He has a moisturizing sunscreen SPF30 cream this is essential for the summer and for only $26!

It's not greasy,  it wont leave you feeling sticky and there is a light fragrance that does not overpower.  Oh and it's even great on sensitive skin.  Purchase here at Oscar de la Renta's site and Oscar de la Renta boutiques.

Oscar de la Renta: ‘This is the Century of the Woman.’

Iconic fashion designer, Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta is so right!  This is the century of the woman.  Fashion is back on the 'true art of fashion' train and women's fashion is just so exciting right now.

The iconic designer did a candid interview with nymag.com about his career, today's fashion for women and the direction of woman's fashion.  It's a really great article especially for aspiring designers, so check it out...click the link below!
