R.I.P L'Wren Scott, Fashion Designer {Fashion News}

L'Wren Scott with boyfriend Mick Jagger
The fashion industry received sad news today.

It's being reported that fashion designer L'Wren Scott, 47{girlfriend of Rolling Stone rocker Mick Jagger} was found hanged to death in her Manhattan apartment today around 10 am ESTScott was found by her assistant; it seems to be an apparent suicide, though no note has been found.

Like. Whoa.

TFC became more familiar with L'Wren Scott thanks to her big collaboration with Banana Republic last year, as well as being a red carpet fave.  Scott's label is very womanly-chic {for the lady}... L'Wren Scott Rest In Peace.

A spokesperson for Jagger said he is "completely shocked and devastated" by the news.

Watch This!!: Modest Street Fashion {On The Streets - Episode 1}

This is some good style inspiration. It may not be your cup of tea per se, but you can get a look at a new wave of street style happening in NYC!

via MSF YouTube:
Modest Street Fashion is a collection of photographs that commemorates the emerging culture of modest street style which has erupted around the world. It is the first book to visually document this ever growing international trend that has exploded from the streets of Kuala Lumpur to the alleys of New York City. Profiling some of the top 'hijabistas' this is a must-have inside look into a twenty-first-century genesis of a faith driven style.

Louis Vuitton Windows Are Dino-mite

If rumors about Marc Jacobs possibly not renewing his contract with Louis Vuitton in 2014 wasn't enough to create buzz for the company, the house's new window installations sure will. Taking a break from the typical brightly hued works of an eccentric or iconic artist, seven stores worldwide {including Paris’ Champs Élysées, London’s New Bond Street, and New York’s Fifth Avenue} are displaying dinosaurs!! That's right, the windows are hosting jewel like reproductions of prehistoric skeletons of Velociraptors, Dimetrodons, Stegosauruses, Tyrannosaurus Rexes, and Triceratopses {just to name a few} with mannequins wearing Vuitton’s Pre-Fall ’13 settled peacefully upon the creatures.

I love it!! According to Style.com, the displays were inspired by a trip to the Natural History Museum in Paris’ Les Jardins des Plantes.

Jason Wu's New Gig at Hugo Boss

German clothing line Hugo Boss recently announced the appointment of designer and CFDA member Jason Wu as their new artistic director of their womenswear line. Wu will be taking over from Eyan Allen who has been with the company since 2007. Wu will continue to run his own label Miss Wu {with loyal clients such as Michelle Obama and Anna Wintour} and start his new position at Boss on June 15th. Boss is based in Metzingen, Germany but will be opening a studio in New York where Wu has been based since 2006.

Hugo Boss will be skipping it's traditional Spring-Summer showing at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2014 in Berlin but will present an Autumn-Winter 2014/2015 line under Wu's direction next February in New York. Boss menswear, designed by Kevin Lobo, will present as well.

Congratulations Jason!!
