Victoria's Secret Fashion Show taped yesterday {Get the Scoop!!}

It's about that time of year...the 18th Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air December 10, 2013 at 10pm E.T. on CBS!

Here are a few kool highlights of the show  to keep an eye on {via CBS}:

  • There are six themed segments for the show, which are: Birds of Paradise, Parisian Nights, British Invasion, Shipwrecked, Snow Angels, and PINK Network.
  • Adrianna Lima {who has waled in every VS show since 2000} will be rocking a "Pearly Queen" look that is made up of over 3,000 pearl buttons and will be showed during the British Invasion segment.
  • VS Model Candice Swanepoel; is reportedly going to wear this year's 'fantasy bra' {designed by jewelry company, Mouwad} that has a price tag to the tune of $10 million.
  • VS Model Lindsay Ellingson will be rocking a VS FIRST. She's wearing a special 3-D Printed costume...I told you 3-D printing is where it's at!
  • The show will consist of 32+ models strutting on a 100-foot-long glittery runway, including all of your favorite models {for the most part} minus a VS fave, Miranda Kerr {she had another commitment with Elle Japan}.
  • Musical guest are: Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy, A Great Big World, and Neon Jungle.

This show is going to be AWESOME. I really enjoyed last year's show {recap HERE!}. Hash tag #VSFashionShow to keep up with the show!

Fashion News: Victoria's Secret has competition coming...Adore Me

Uh oh looks like Victoria's Secret has some tough competition coming for you number one spot!

Lingerie ecommerce site Adore Me has already raised $8.5 million in a Series B round of funding. Morgan Hermand-Waiche, CEO and founder of Adore Me said people are tired of high prices and slow-fashion from Victoria's Secret, so they are following the same fast-fashion formula as Zara, which is working in their favor.

They are also using the same ecommerce setup as the BeachMint brands. You know with the monthly fee {avg, $39.95} and free shipping both ways {US only}, but anyone can purchase the VIP monthly membership.

It's funny how Adore Me launched in early 2012 and has already raised a total of $11.2 million, with $500,000 seed money helping them get off the ground.

That's some serious dough, but do we really think this is big competition for Victoria's Secret?

Mango to launch Kids, Teens, Sportswear and Lingerie

Spanish brand Mango may becoming a one-stop-shop. After the launch of the Touch line in 2006 and H.E in 2008, the company is continuing to diversify. Though there has not been an official press release, an internal source has announced to the Spanish press that there will be several new releases in the coming seasons.

Miranda Kerr for Mango 2013

In 2013, we should see the launch of Mango Kids, Mango Young {aimed at teenagers} and Mango Sports & IntimatesThough the retailer dabbled in lingerie in 2008 {the venture wasn’t continued}, the Kids and Teenage apparel lines will be a first try for Mango. It also seems as though Mango is looking to diversify through its licensing agreements, just announcing its first partnership with glasses-maker, Opticalia.

We're looking forward to see all the new lines!!! :D
