We have the scoop on the top luxury brands as well as top apparel brands!
It’s pretty kool to see how the ranking falls…you know the fashion industry is a multi *cough* billion dollar industry!

WPP and Millward Brown has released 2013’s BrandZ Top 100 list, which names the most valuable brands worldwide. Louis Vuitton {we should of known} hit the top spot for the second year in a row with company value at $22.7 billion and Hermes is #2 with a company value of $19.1 billion.
  1. Louis Vuitton
  2. Hermes
  3. Gucci
  4. Prada
  5. Rolex
  6. Chanel
  7. Cartier
  8. Burberry
  9. Fendi
  10. Coach

That pretty much sets the tone for the luxury brands. Apparel brands are not far behind. Surprisingly, Zara {fast fashion chain} hit the list with $20 billion in value, surpassing Nike as the most valuable apparel brand in the world.
  1. Zara
  2. Nike
  3. H&M
  4. Ralph Lauren
  5. Adidas

Amar’e Stoudemire Launching a Men’s Fashion Line

Photo: WWD

Knick's player Amar'e Stoudemire has been making a splash in the fashion industry {his new friendship with Anna Wintour, sitting front row durning fashion week, and colaborating on a collection with Reachel Roy} so it's no surprise that he would try his hand in designing.

At a Calvin Klein event in Milan, Stoudemire told WWD that he is working on a men’s fashion line. No further details were giving but it was implied that he is working with a partner, perhaps a more "experienced" designer. Let's hope that his recent Twitter faux pas doesn't get in the way of his fashion career.

Quoting Stoudemire "Stay tuned." That Fashion Chick will definetly keep you updated!

Francisco Costa's exclusive collection for Macy's is almost here!!!

Remember I told you about Francisco Costa {head designer for Calvin Klein}, working on a limited edition line for Macy's Impulse Collection??  Well, it hits stores in less than one week, Tuesday May 15!

The collection, which is made up of  dresses, looks very chic with simplicity.  This is a great collection for all woman and the prices are great, somewhere in the range of  $135-$180.

“I’m more interested in cleanliness,” he explained. “The cleaner it is, the more relevant it is.” The Macy’s collection is definitely very clean. There is nary an unsightly zipper or button to be found. In fact, one dress has no fastener whatsoever and can be put on simply by wrapping it around your body and putting your arms through spaghetti strap armholes.

Check out the full collection below before it hits Macy's store May 15!

Macy's has another collaboration via Calvin Klein

Photo: Francisco for Calvin Klein

Macy's is up for another collaboration! The collaboration will actually be a capsule collection  of dresses with Calvin Klein Collection designer Francisco Costa.  The collection's theme will be called "A Magical Journey to Brazil."  I'm thinking sexy-chic.  Costa is actually Brazilian, so it makes sense.

“This fresh, youthful line of dresses reflects both my roots and the modern, yet timeless spirit of Calvin Klein,” Costa told the trade.

he also added...

“some of the architecture in Brazil and the sunset on the horizon there’ rather than the bright, happy colors and bold graphic prints that will be very evident in the promotion and that Brazilian designers are known for.”

The capsule collection will be called Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein.  Prices look to be ranging from $130 to $180May 15th is the launch date, but the dresses will only be available for only two months!

I have no doubt that this collection will be successful being that Francisco Costa is a major factor at Calvin Klein.  All you CK lovers get ready!
