Fashion News: the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will be international this year!

Victoria's Secret models Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel along with VS Chief Marketing Officer, Ed Razek made an announcement: the highly anticipated Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will be held in London {British show!} at Earls Court, this fall {airing later}.
No date has been made as of yet, but you will see all the GORGEOUS VS chicks in their special lingerie designs, for sure!

What: Alexa Chung {as Creative Director} is debuting a cosmetic collaboration with Eeyko that will allow her AC Lovers to recreate her signature makeup look. It will be a limited edition gift set, in which she helped design the cool packaging that displays her signature cat-eye.

Chung describes her new budge-proof liner as having “the perfect shape and size to give you control,” giving users “the precision to draw on the perfect cat eye.” She adds, “It’s pitch black and waterproof so it doesn’t move even on the waterline.” As for the water-resistant mascara, Chung says it “stays on forever but feels amazing thanks to all the lash-enhancing magic in the mix.”

What: It's a collaboration that is affordable {mostly under $60} woman's apparel that will include accessories and swimwear. Peter Pilotto has landed celebs like Kerry Washington, Selena Gomez and Miranda Kerr on best dressed lists with his designs.

Where: Target stores and online {US & Canada}. International customers can also purchase selected pieces via Net-A-Porter.

Barbie has a fashionable makeover! {by London designers}
My sisters and I were extreme Barbie fanatics as children. I still get nostalgic seeing the modern Barbies. We always say 'Man, why couldn't our Barbies have had style like this back then?!' {which were the 90's...maybe generations before us said the same thing lol}. I'm happy little girls get to play with such fashionable Barbies tho.

Watch This!! Tailored Tatts {ft. Tilda Swinton}
Top-tier bespoke {made to order} tailor Timothy Everest and legendary Japanese tattoo artist Horiyoshi III have teamed up to create a capsule collection for Spring ’14. Although this seems like an unusual collaboration, Everest spoke of tattoos as "the ultimate bespoke" at his London presentation on Monday. Tilda Swinton models one of the beautifully tattooed suits in a short film; The film depicts Swinton at her Scottish home performing what at first, looks to be tai chi, but, according to sources, she is actually exaggeratedly copying the movements a bespoke client will experience during a Timothy Everest fitting.

Louis Vuitton Windows Are Dino-mite
If rumors about Marc Jacobs possibly not renewing his contract with Louis Vuitton in 2014 wasn't enough to create buzz for the company, the house's new window installations sure will. Taking a break from the typical brightly hued works of an eccentric or iconic artist, seven stores worldwide {including Paris’ Champs Élysées, London’s New Bond Street, and New York’s Fifth Avenue} are displaying dinosaurs!! That's right, the windows are hosting jewel like reproductions of prehistoric skeletons of Velociraptors, Dimetrodons, Stegosauruses, Tyrannosaurus Rexes, and Triceratopses {just to name a few} with mannequins wearing Vuitton’s Pre-Fall ’13 settled peacefully upon the creatures.
I love it!! According to Style.com, the displays were inspired by a trip to the Natural History Museum in Paris’ Les Jardins des Plantes.

J.Crew is Expanding!!!
The J.Crew group have announced plans to open 46 new stores this year! Amongst the openings are 17 new Madewell stores and J. Crew's first London store on the popular Regent Street.
J.Crew has grown from a small mail-order company to a fashion powerhouse {being worn by celebs and our FLOTUS}. The group currently owns 240 J.Crew stores, 8 Crewcut {children} stores, 48 Madewell stores, 106 outlet stores, the international online store and still does some business via mail-order. As of now, Canada is the only country outside the US that has J.Crew stores. Other European and Asian stores are said to see the light of day starting in 2014.

Sneak Peek: ‘Valentino: Master of Couture’ Exhibit
Over the next few months, the Somerset House in London will be hosting a new exhibition dedicated to iconic {and one of our favorites} Valentino entitled “Valentino: Master of Couture.” The exhibition will span over 50 years of the designer’s career and feature over 130 designs worn by the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Grace Kelly {including never-before-seen photos, images, and invitations}.

“Valentino: Master of Couture” will run at Somerset House November 29th through March 3rd. Valentino SpA has designed exclusive accessories for the museum, providing plenty of amazing options for souvenirs. If you need more stunning images {or can't be in London}, a coinciding book entitled Valentino: Master of Couture, A Private View will be released November 29th as well.

Tom Ford London flagship coming in 2013

Tom Ford has signed a 10 year lease for approximately 5,900 sq ft of retail space for his first opening in the UK. The store will be housed on Sloane Street {201-206} in Knightsbridge and, more than likely, feature his 2013 women's ready-to-wear {shown at London Fashion Week} and men's collections, which until now was only exclusively available at Selfridges.
“The luxury retail sector is performing incredibly well against a challenging economic climate,” said Ed Humbert, senior director at CBRE London, who handled the transaction. “The demand for commercial space in the industry is soaring, especially on Sloane Street and the arrival of Tom Ford will reinforce this trend,” Humbert added.
The first U.S. Tom Ford outlet will open mid-July in the Woodbury Common shopping center in upstate New York. Ford has a flagship on Madison Avenue, N.Y. and boutiques in Dubai, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Ford also has a shop dedicated to men’s wear on the rue Francois 1er in Paris, that opened last March.
