That Guy has Style: Omiri Thomas {London, UK}

Omiri Thomas, 24 year old menswear style blogger from London

We can dig it! Omiri strikes me as a detail guy who likes the classics. His sunglasses are a nice random-of-personality.  Wonder where he was off to...real cool look!

Get the scoop on Omiri's look above, and check out more of his stylish looks HERE via his Lookbook.nu page!

Lily Allen - Hard Out Here {Watch This!!}

Photo: Lakeside Chuch

I won't dwell, but I'm all for constructive conversation that won't make anyone feel uncomfortable, but bring attention to things that should be addressed. Another big cause behind the creation of That Fashion Chick, LLC is Women Empowerment.  Women have forgotten how to be ladies and use our power instead of being men's objects for their own personal use {not man bashing lol, ijs}. I  have a daughter so I am always conscience about the message I put out there for young women.

Now, having said that UK singer, Lily Allen made a satire video 'Hard Out Here' that addresses how women are objectified.

Some lyrics:

Some time it's hard to find the words to say
I'll go ahead and say them anyway,
Forget your balls and grow a pair of tits
It's hard, it's hard, it's hard out her for a bitch

I was first like whaaaat is this now?!?, but I listened while I watched and I say kudos to you Lily Allen...I get it, she did it her visual way and I don't think it's racist. Hip Hop artist are the new rock stars...you will mostly see this kind of imagery with them.

I personally think its gotten way out of hand and it's not art exactly...not to me. I will just say men need to not forget they came from a woman.

In the words of the late-great Tupac Shakur {a different kind of rock star}:

And since we all came from a woman
Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman
I wonder why we take from our women
Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?
I think it's time to kill for our women
Time to heal our women, be real to our women
And if we don't we'll have a race of babies
That will hate the ladies, that make the babies

Asos + Markus Lupfer Collaboration

Fresh off of one collaboration {with UK brand Whistle} into another, UK designer Markus Lupfer is on a roll! Lupfer was recently tapped by Asos to design an affordable leather collection. The collection consists of chic black leather pieces with cool orange and navy prints.

"The pieces are contemporary, fun and easy-to-wear — a combination of separates that go right through from day to night, and have something for everyone, which is something I always try to provide," Lupfer said. "The leather elevates the feel of things to a more luxury place and gives the very wearable pieces a slightly more special edge."

The collection {set to hit Asos.com later this month} looks high-fashion but the price points are said to be budget friendly. Can't wait to see the rest!!!

Nail polish inspired by ice cream toppings??!!

Have you ever thought, 'hmm, I wonder what this birthday cake ice cream would look like on my nails?' {....probably not many}

Those of you who have, wonder no more.  UK nail polish brand, Nails Inc., is launching a Sprinkles Collection this June. It is currently available on its website. This Sprinkle Collection is continuing the trend of random inspiration!

The nail polish has random names like Pudding Lane Sprinkles, Sweets Way Sprinkles, Top Lane Sprinkles and Sugar House Lane Sprinkles.  This should be better then the basic added glitter coat!

Caviar Mini anyone??

I post a lot of nail DIY’s, new products and different nail polishes & design techniques that will have your nails popping.  It looks like our nails have another cool trend that will be launching soon. It is called Caviar Mini?!
Ciaté,  a UK nail polish brand, is launching kits that will allow you to give yourself a Caviar Mini, which looks like a bunch of tiny little beads fused together. I can dig it!
The kits will be available in the states in April.  Will you be trying out this Caviar Mini??
via Ciaté:
The inspiration behind the Caviar Manicure™ came about when Charlotte, Ciaté’s Creative Director, was looking to create 3-dimensional nails for a front cover magazine shoot and wanted to develop something feminine, indulgent yet delicately extravagant.The finished effect gives nails an instant sophisticated look. Very Ciaté!
