Zoe Saldana for L'Oreal Paris {Watch This!!}

Zoe Saldana {one of my favorite muses in my head} is the newest spokesperson for beauty brand L'Oreal Paris!

Zoe Saldana is one of those simple-chic type of chicks and definitely a red-carpet-killaSaldana describes her personal style as 'simple clean and strong', which makes sense being that she comes from a line of classy ladies, so the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.  Zoe Saldana is always encouraging young women too.

This collaboration with L'Oreal Paris is a great fit!

via PSW:

“My mother was a youngling of the ’70s, there was always extraordinary and extravagant eyeshadows,” she says. “My grandmother was all about red lips. I was always liking my femininity, surrounded by women who were very elegant, true ladies but also a little wild.”

“I definitely had an ugly duckling phase, kind of a grow-into-a-swan thing,” she says. “In the beginning, I didn’t know what turn I may go in. After my teenage years, I began owning my own beauty and working with what I have.” That meant gaining the confidence to do her own thing on the red carpet. “Now I’d never do what I used to do in the past: Allowing people to convince me something looked great when I knew deep, deep down it didn’t,” she says. “I trust my own opinion over someone else’s, always.”

Trend Alert!!: Fall/Winter '12

It's that time of year, fall/winter season!  We are about to be layered up in cozy fabrics. I chose some of my favorite trends that were in the September issue of People Style Watch...and there are more on the way!

Check below and leave me a comment if you agree or disagree. =D

Hunter Green- I think this is an excellent color for Fall…on any chick it gives a strong sleek statement. The color is very rich so pairing with almost any color, patterns and textures..you are sure to make a statement.

Ankle Strap Heels- ehh I don’t think I will partake in these styles of heels. I am just not intrigued. It works for some heels {like the ones above} but I am not a fan especially the one’s I have been seeing...the strap can cheapen the shoe, so just me mindful.

Military Details – this trend is classic and not hart to pull off. Have fun with it, make it your personal style in a more unique and modern way {tops, bottoms, dresses and jackets}.

Trumpet hems – I really like this trend. It is a great alternative to the peplum trend. I see that the trumpet hem will play up or balance curves.

Dome Bags - I like the shape. And because of that, be mindful of different prints and fabrications it can cheapen the look. My advice: look for solid colors with great structure detailing. Even the simplest style could be the chicest!

Brocade- this is a great trend I have been seeing a lot lately. It's instant luxe attire. Let whatever brocade piece you wear be your focal point, it should set the tone. Balance with simple but sweet accessories and shoes.

Trend Alert!!: Fall Hair

People Style Watch gives their take on the top 7 Hot Fall Hairstyles {Fall September issue}. The styles  are all about pretty and flirty as well as taking some chances with hair accessories. Here are the ones I think I’ll be wearing this Fall:

Sleek Ponytail - It’s nice to do a ponytail to add sophistication to your look. Everyone can do a ponytailshort or long.  When all fails, try placing it at the nape of your neck or on the crown of your head. Both styles give off different vibes so play with it.

Full Bangs- personally I am thinking about going back to this look.  This is an instant makeover {refresher}.  PSW is insisting on bangs that stop below the brows. I like to see my browns when I have bangs, but change is good! You know your face…better at first, to cut too long then too short.

Braided Up-do's – I want to add twisted up-do's too.  Braids are more structured and add a sense of edge. Twist add a sense of softness depending on the look you’re going for…you’ll know which one, I’m sure!

....next post I will show some kool hair accessories for my Fashion Finds post!

Fragrances we are loving for Fall

You may already know that I picked up some of my top fave mags for Fall.  I'm really smitten with People Style Watch…it never fails me!
It’s just about time for Fall, so lay down the shorts and pick up the pants…scarves, cardigans, boots lol you get it.  I have a lot I want to post, but for now I want to talk about perfume. PSW has a top 10 list for fragrances…I have a few I cosign, which are:

Coach Poppy Blossom Eau de Parfum $65 for 1.7 fl. oz sephora.com

Lancome La Vie Est Belle Eau de Parfum $75 for 1.7 fl. oz lancome-usa.com

Lady Gaga’s first  fragrance
Fame Ultimate Masterpiece Eau de Parfum $79 for 3.4 fl. oz macys.com

I smelled this randomly at Belk and Nordstrom last week. I was apprehensive at fist, but this a winner!  It is feminine but subtle...Oh and it sprays clear liquid not black.
“edgy and unexpected, with a blend of deep floral notes and incense pus a touch of fruitiness"~PSW

Chanel Coco Noir Eau de Parfum $98 for 1.7 fl. oz chanel.com

I chose this one because..well..because its Chanel! Lol

Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum $65 for 1.7 fl. oz. nordstrom.com

I am throwing this one in as a bonus.  Roberto Cavalli is my favorite designer and I received his first fragrance above as a Valentine's Day gift....I was one happy Chick!  I still have a nice amount but more important, it smells goooood too! Try it ladies...the packaging is very nice.

Digging the Style: Jennifer Aniston

I have yet to see a look on Jennifer Aniston I have not liked {within the past 5-7years}  that is how long I been digging her style.  Her red carpets are always flawless.  She is always "age appropriate", classic and kool.

Below I snagged this picture from People Style Watch:

Jennifer was arriving at Los Angeles International Airport.  She was wore a boyfriend blazer, white t-shirt, subtle sneaks, a pair of rockin drop-crotch cuffed boyfriend jeans {Vivienne Westwood’s “Anglomania + Lee” men’s trousers, $210} and the scarf tied on her bag is a nice touch.

So Clearly her look for the day was masculine inspired.  #DiggingHerStyle
