She surprised her fans with a new self-titled album 'Beyonce', which was released on iTunes {at midnight} with 17 matching videos and will be in stores later. Met Gala 2013 Red Carpet {favorite PUNK looks}

Well, hello TFC Lovers I'm just coming off another busy weekend with an off day yesterday {business is picking up!}. The pictures of the Met Gala are out and I'm in  ahhhh! I will say not everyone got the 'punk memo', but overall everyone looked very nice. It was kind of a bummer seeing that alot of celebs played it safe. I was ready to see mohawks, alot of black, and  true engagement in the theme.

Check it out below. My favorite red carpet looks {three categories}: Straight Punk, Glam Punk, Personal Punk!

Straight Punk: {these looks say Punk}

..............

Glam Punk: {these looks show a glam Punk}

Personal Punk: {these looks add a personal style to Punk}

Best Dressed: Red Carpet faves 2013 Grammys

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards were held February 10 2013.  This year was especially different due to the dresscode memo that was sent out to artist:

"Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible 'puffy' bare skin exposure."

This may have been a damper for the red carpet, because I did not see a whole bunch of looks that I really loved. Below are the few I did. Let's see who complied with the memo shall we?!

Kelly Rowland in Georges Chakra
She definitely pushed the 'memo' with this one, but dang if she ain't HOT-T-T!!
That's all!

Rihanna in Azzedine Alaia
Looked gorgeous in red.  I like how she was peek-a-boo sexy.
She kept the red theme including her lips and nails and simple jewelry.

Taylor Swift in J.Mendel
She knows how to play up or down her
personal style while sticking to its aesthetic.  She looks precious-glam!

Beyonce in  Osman Yousefzada
This is a real conservative look for her...she definitely got the 'memo' and
she looks gorge.  She is simple-chic with accents of red
on her lips and toe nails. Its good to switch it up.

Adele in Valentino
I have seen a lot of bad reviews on this look, but I don't care I LOVE it!
This would not be my choice per-say, but can't plus size wear printed
and textured fabrics? She looks great.  Nicely styled with her hair and skin tone.

Janelle Monae
Not sure what she is wearing but we dig it!
Its is a glam look to her usual menswear style.

Jennifer Lopez in Anthony Vaccarello
She pushed the envelop with this one, considering the 'memo'.
I don't like recycled styles {we've seen this before} but she did
put the J Lo twist and she looks gorge.

Alicia Keys in Alaïa
I would have just changed the hair style to something with a little
volume that is in equilibrium with the bottom of her skirt.  Super gorge.

Katy Perry in Gucci
I love how everything is covered up and fitted with just enough left to
the imagination with the keyhole neckline.
The embellishment is a nice flare of her usual whimsical style.

Kathy Griffin in Oscar Del la Renta
She looks super GORGE from head to toe
...this is a win for her!

Carrie Underwood in Roberto Cavalli
She is another one who seems to always get her red carpet style right.
Love this glam gown by my fave designer! She looks gorge.

Get The Scoop!!: Who was Beyoncé wearing during the halftime show?! {Watch This!!}

Photo: Hollywood Reporter

How about those Ravens huh?! I’m happy for Ray Lewis, leaving the league on top...what a bang! #CongratsRavens I must say I was also rooting for PURPLE. Its just cuter and even nice to see on the fellas {I’m such a chick};)  Now, how about that Halftime Show!

Beyoncé put on a great performance; I told you there were going to be some surprises!  I thought all of the blue was cute, which of course represented her baby girl. My favorite part was seeing Destiny’s Child reunited…that Kelly Rowland had me speechless and Michelle’s outfit was adorable.  All of the ladies looked spectacular!

 Kudos to Beyoncé for sharing her moment with a lesser known designer.  His name is Rubin Singer {photoed with Beyoncé below}, a 34 year old NY based designer {Russian decent}. Singer launched his clothing label in  2007 in New York, so he is a little seasoned.  He is already picking up steam due to his latest work for Beyoncé.

 Not only did he make Beyoncé’s look, he also made Michelle’s and her squad of 120 backup dancers {Kelly wore a custom leather bodysuit by Emilio Pucci}. That is incredible!  Beyoncé’s bodysuit was made of python, iguana, leather and lace and everything was assembled by hand.

Hat’s off to designer Ruben Singer.  Fashionista recently interviewed him.  It’s pretty kool to see how everything came about. Read the full interview here.

The pieces worn by Beyoncé and her crew are not far off from the pieces in Singers latest collection {he’s showing at fashion week next week his fall/winter 2013 collection}
via Fashionista:
The collection is called “Valkyrie’s Dominion” – what’s it all about? It’s really about a strong empowered woman and making her feel amazing in fashion. I was also inspired by Helmut Newton photography and German film stars from the ’30s like Marlene Dietrich.
...and check out this philosophy for his work:

Lots of people are hearing your name for the first time today–what do you want people to know about you?
They should know that the philosophy of my clothes is social artwork. My construction and my draping are the most important elements of my work. The most amazing thing about the performance was that all three pieces she wore were representative of what I do: The black motorcycle jacket with asymmetrical collar was all about construction; the skirt was draped, and it was very intrinsic to the draping I do–layered and multidimensional; and then the paneling and use of exotic skins and leather on the bodysuit. [Singer used python, iguana, lamb leather, and Chantilly lace to construct the bodysuit.]

This just gives me life and inspiration as a fellow designer!
