🎟Fashion at IT!'s finest: The Met Gala Ball & CFDA Fashion Awards
Outside the runway, two of the best festive celebrations in fashion are the Met Gala Ball and the CFDA Fashion Awards. Fashion has so many wonderful creative platforms. This is a TFC perspective and observation.

The Met Gala Ball displays craftsmanship, coupling fashion & style from minimal efforts to vast extremes. Each theme gives attendees a "no rules" code, leaving the creative door open for intense expression. Look at pictures over the years to make the connection.
The CFDA Fashion Awards {The Council of Fashion Designers of America} honor creatives including: designers, stylist, media and special achievements. With all the movers and shakers, and different aspects of the fashion industry, the CFDA's highlight the best of the best {winners & nominees}.

A quick observation, next season Fall|Winter 2022 RTW is about new shapes and fit.
It's like another dimension of chic! 🤓
Different cuts add subtle but strong detailing. Fabric use has an upgrade. Overall, the runway is projecting a deeper sense of individuality...thus far.💥

📅 "Times" Have Changed At New York Fashion Week

My induction to fashion began in 2005. I was one of those designers pushing for more diversity and social awareness. Let's just say the industry has removed a major stick from you know where.
Fashion is also becoming more eco-friendly, as well as picking manufactures with accountability. Most clothing is made abroad, in which evidence has shown the horrid conditions and treatment of workers {including children}.
⤥Here's the new change...simple, but major!
✨Fashion has a new calendar. Actually, the calendar has been changing for some time, referencing more than just four seasons and Resort. Designers are showing their collections based around brand production and not just industry related dates.

fashion. Therefore, we will publish on the schedule not only the schedule of designers showing
in New York during New York Fashion Week but also those of American designers showing off

Digital is the new normal.
New York Fashion Week was traditionally a week long event, traveling around the world to Paris, London and Milan following suit. Fast forward today, and fashion is showing almost every month. Ain't nothing wrong with year-round fashion!
