For years, That Fashion Chick has been my home on the internet.
It's where I've shared my thoughts about fashion, celebrated creativity, asked questions about the industry, and invited you into conversations that go far beyond what we're wearing.
What started as a blog slowly became something bigger.
Not because I planned every detail from the beginning, but because this community kept showing me what was possible.
Lately, you may have noticed little hints that something new is taking shape.
That's intentional.
I've been building what I believe is the natural next chapter of That Fashion Chick.
The best way I can describe it is this...
The blog is our train station.
It's where we meet.
It's where conversations begin.
It's where new readers discover TFC and longtime readers return for fresh perspectives on fashion, style, and creativity.
That part isn't changing.
The blog will continue to be public.
It will continue to be personal.
And it will continue to be the place where I share stories, industry reflections, style inspiration, and all of those wonderfully curious conversations that make TFC what it is.
But now...
The train has somewhere new to go.
I'm building the TFC Ship.
Think of it as the future headquarters of That Fashion Chick.
A place where our conversations don't end with a blog post.
They continue through community, creative experiences, style exploration, and opportunities to engage with fashion in a deeper, more meaningful way.
Inside the Ship, you'll eventually find spaces like The Mirror, The Lab, Daily Quests, exclusive experiences, and so much more. Everything is being designed around one simple idea:
Fashion isn't just something we consume.
It's something we experience.
The podcast is growing right alongside this vision.
If the blog starts the conversation, the podcast keeps it going.
Whether you're reading an article while enjoying your morning coffee or listening to an episode during your commute, I want TFC to feel like a companion that fits naturally into your life.
One platform starts the conversation.
Another continues it.
Together, they tell one story.
Now for the exciting part.
🚢The Ship isn't quite ready to dock.
I'm still putting on the finishing touches because I want your first experience to feel intentional, welcoming, and worth the wait.
But the waitlist is officially open.
🖼Joining the waitlistmeans you'll be among the first to receive your acceptance email when it's time to board.
I love the idea of an acceptance email because it isn't about exclusivity.
It's about beginning a shared journey.
Thank you for reading this blog.
Thank you for listening to the podcast.
Thank you for encouraging every idea, every experiment, and every new direction over the years.
Because of you, That Fashion Chick is no longer just a blog.
It's becoming an ecosystem where fashion lovers, creators, and curious minds can continue discovering style together.
They used to say fashion was just fabric. Draping, cutting, stitching.
That was the old world.
We’re entering an era where the runway isn’t just a strip of carpet—it’s a motherboard.
Look at the fusion happening right now. Gold mechanics turning into ballgowns. Silver liquid mimicking the flow of silk. It’s not about wearing clothes anymore; it’s about interfacing with an aesthetic. We are building systems that don't just cover the body—they amplify the signal.
At TFC, we’re wiring the same energy into the foundation. Merging the cold precision of data with the heat of creativity.
It’s not soft. It’s not safe.
It’s necessary.
Welcome to the machine.
Don’t just wear the future. Become IT.
Here's the secret...You gotta see IT before you can be IT.
They used to say the devil is in the details. But in my world? The future is in the tools.
Welcome to the new studio. No easels, no messy turpentine, just pure, unadulterated strategy dripping onto the canvas. We’re talkingChatGPTfor the structure,Geminifor the flow, Claudefor the soul,OpenArt for the visuals, andMidJourneyto make it look like a dream.
This isn't about replacing the artist; it's about sharpening the blade. I’m not just sketching anymore—I’m orchestrating. Every tool on that palette is a color in my hand, and I’m painting this empire with precision.
You want to know how I’m building TFC Industry?
I’m using every brush available. The old guard played with one color. I’m playing with the whole spectrum.
Step into the future. Or stay in the sketchbook. The choice is yours.
👄This Just TFC approval of AI...S/O to the Great Apps!
The Fashion Collective has always been more than clothes. It's a frequency. A posture. A whole entire energy — and it has a sound.
We droppedsix original tracks on Suno and every single one was built from the ground up with TFCDNA.
No templates. No compromises. Just music that moves the way our collections move — with intention, dominance, and style that doesn't ask for permission.
HERE'S WHAT'S IN THE COLLECTION:
My Hustle Struts — For every woman who built her empire stitch by stitch. Dark trap, heavy 808s, and bars that hit like a blueprint.
Runway Undisputed — Cinematic. Orchestral. Sovereign. This one is for the moment you walk in and the room already knows.
Mind Over Flatter — Synth-pop meets drill. Sharp, discerning, and completely unbothered by anything that doesn't serve the vision.
I Love His Sexy Style — Sultry, devotional R&B for the ones who appreciate a man who dresses with intention. Bass-heavy and unapologetically adoring.
Questionable Confidence At Times — The most honest track in the collection. For every high-achieving woman who's still battling the voice that says she doesn't belong. You do. Keep going.
Energy Like Chic — Electropop with four-on-the-floor energy and fashion-forward bars. This is the TFC anthem. Full stop.
Six tracks. Six perspectives. One collective.
This is whatTFCsounds like when the music matches the mission — female energy, fashion architect precision, and lyrics that live in the same world as the clothes.
They celebrate the launch. The polished visuals. The “this is genius”comments. The finished thing sitting pretty on a feed like it just arrived that way.
It’s rereading the same paragraph five times and wondering if you’ve said too much… or not enough.
It’s highlighting whole sections and pressing delete, even when those sentences felt like they cost you something to write.
Sometimes editing feels like betrayal.
You cut the line you loved most.
You remove the metaphor that made you feel clever.
You tighten the story until it breathes differently.
And you sit there thinking, Was the first version better? Was I more honest before I trimmed it down?
That’s the second-guessing nobody sees.
Editing is standing naked in front of a mirror and deciding which parts of yourself to cover. I wrote a line about how lonely this felt. Then I deleted it because I didn’t want you to think I was weak. That’s the wrestling. Not clarity over impressiveness it's honesty over armor.
But here’s the truth: editing is not erasing yourself. It’s revealing yourself.
It’s sculpting. You start with a block of everything you feel and chip away until the shape underneath can actually stand.
The cuts hurt because they matter.
The revisions sting because you care.
The doubt shows up because growth is loud before it becomes quiet confidence.
Editing teaches patience. It teaches restraint. It teaches you that first drafts are emotion and second drafts are intention.
And somewhere between the fourth read-through and the final save, something shifts.
The piece feels lighter.
Cleaner.
True.
Not perfect.
Just aligned.
That’s when you know you didn’t edit to impress. You edited to communicate. You honored the work enough to challenge it.
So if you’re in the middle of your own creative mess right now, staring at something that doesn’t feel finished, stay there a little longer. Let it stretch you. Let it frustrate you. Let it refine you.
Perfection is not the absence of flaws. It’s the courage to refine until what remains feels honest.
The late nights will pass.
The doubts will soften.
The cuts will make sense.
And one day you’ll look at something you created and realize the editing didn’t shrink you.
There are moments in a creative journey that don’t feel loud, but they feel affirming. This was one of those moments.
I recently wrapped up my ChatGPT Year in Review, and tucked inside it was a message that honestly stopped me for a second:
“Most Likely to Turn a Runway into a Business Plan.”
Not as a flex. Not as an award. But as a reflection.
For me, fashion has never been just about clothes. It’s always been about translation. Turning vision into systems. Turning aesthetics into strategy. Turning ideas into something people can actually build with.
Over the past year, I’ve been exploring how AI can support creative thinkers, especially those of us who live at the intersection of fashion, music, content, and culture. Not to replace creativity, but to amplify it. To help us think clearer, move smarter, and dream bigger without burning out.
That’s what this little moment represents to me.
Not perfection. Not arrival. Just alignment.
If you’ve been curious about AI but unsure where you fit into the conversation, this is your sign: you don’t have to be technical to be powerful. You just need your point of view. AI works best when it’s guided by taste, intention, and human perspective.
I shared a short video with my community because I wanted to show what’s possible when you let curiosity lead instead of fear. If you’re a creator, a thinker, a builder, or someone quietly sitting on ideas, there’s room for you here.
The Top imageactually comes form the bottom image.
The bottom image is made from another app; the art challenge is in NiteCafe. So, I got the image prompt from the initial app and inserted it into the NiteCafegenerator.
Both images are similar in certain qualities however, as you can see depending on the app, visuals vary.
Beautiful none the less!💃🏾
I'm looking into teaching AI in a multitude of way. Below is the entire prompt used for both images if you want to try a few strategies...Do that art thing! 🤗👩🏾🎨
🎀Bonus: A majestic, highly detailed East African female goddess sculpture, entirely formed from luminous, multifaceted crystal and translucent glass. Her skin is dark, contrasting sharply with the white and silver crystalline armor and ornate headpiece. Her attire features intricate, flowing sheer glass drapery with etched patterns. The body of the sculpture is composed of sharp, angled shards of clear, translucent crystal with internal gold and silver accents, especially in the bodice where a glowing core is visible. She stands dramatically on a base of clear, cracked ice and large crystal chunks, flanked by two glowing agate geodes. The setting is a sunrise or sunset over a misty, cold landscape (ice/snow), featuring warm golden light that casts long shadows and creates dramatic lens flares and complex reflections on the glass and ice surfaces. Cinematic lighting, ultra-realistic, fantasy art, 8k
