It's a Collaboration!!: Charlotte Olympia X Tom Binns

Didn’t get your “punk” fill during the Fall ’13 collections? No worries, Charlotte Dellal has you covered, and just in time for the Met Ball!!  The Charlotte Olympia designer teamed up with jeweler Tom Binns for a "badass" collection featuring house signatures updated with Binns staples like safety pins and neon.

“Dolly Riot gives you no excuse not to go out and party the night away!” Dellal said referring to her best selling recessed-platform, that have been entirely studded with safety pins {love those!}. Her embroidered Kitty flats got a min-makeover with a nose and ear piercings. “His designs are so distinctive. And I love the way he combines elegance with an anti-conformist sentiment,” Dellal continues about Binns work. “I am also a big believer of his phrase ‘More is more!’”

Charlotte Olympia x Tom Binns will be available exclusively at Charlotte Olympia’s Mayfair and Manhattan stores, www.charlotteolympia.com, Jeffrey New York, and Moda Operandi starting May 2, with prices ranging from $795 to $1,695.

Prada’s Fall 2012 Campaign is Like a Fashion Video Game

Prada's Fall 2012 campaign should definetly be an interesting one to see....based off of statements in a press release about the campaign, it sounds to have been inspired by videogames.

"Shifting camera angles and an endless depth of field create a playful illusion of perspective and proportion, recalling the setting for a videogame." Steven Meisel states in the release.

"Occupying the space on multiple levels characters in the foreground appear magnified, while others recede into the distance like virtual princesses poised for combat. The models’ unified gaze creates a seductive focus as our eye navigates the frame and its unexpected dimensions. Blocks of coordinated colour created by clothing, dip-dyed hair and furniture produce a chromatic architecture for our fashion avatars."

Though there is not much info out about the new Prada campaign, this is enough to make me anxious to see more!

Watch This!!: Style has NO age!

Some of the stylish ladies in the documentary

This has to be one of my cutest post!  There is a style blog called 'Advance Style' {Check it out!}. It's about older woman with style and they will not be out done by a 20-something. LOL

“I started the blog to inspire people to look at aging in a new light,” says Ari Seth Cohen, the site’s founder. “I was best friends with my grandmother and have always had an affinity for older people. Before starting Advanced Style, I noticed a lack of inspiring and positive images of aging and I wanted to show that there are so many wonderful things that come with age.”

Ari Seth Cohen is now in the process of turning his blog into a movie documentary, BUT he needs your help!

Here's a taste of what the movie could be....
