2014 Grammys Red Carpet Favorite Looks

 The 56th Grammy Awards took place last night January 26, 2014 at the  Staples Center  in Los Angeles, California. I was kinda surprised to see a more elegant red carpet...I wanted to see a bit more edge {not worst dress looks, but I won't go there}. 

The red carpet looks were super GORGE and it seemed to be more about metallic, sheers & lace...more traditional looks {it's about the lady-look in 2014 remember:)}. I picked a few of my faves below!

Is Zebra the New Leopard?

While leopards ran wild for yet another season, designers were exchanging spots for stripes.....zebra stripes to be exact!! The black and white streaks were glammed up by Emilio Pucci, Tom Ford, and Versace while Sacai, Joseph, and A.L.C. took the causal route. Katie Grand went wild for the pattern as well, incorporating it in her second Hogan collaboration and Alice + Olivia’s has a super cute zebra-shaped cross-body bag.

I love that zebra print is finally getting major recognition, I've always preferred this print over leopard due to it's versatility. Zebra stripes will definitely be THE animal print for fall '13!! You can get more looks here

Emilio Pucci Creates Rita Ora’s Tour Wardrobe

Rita Ora got some fab custom made costumes for her new Radioactive Tour. Emilio Pucci's creative director Peter Dundas worked closely with the singer to create a series of outfits to "perfectly echo her unique take on urban glamour".

"I was thrilled to design the costumes for Rita's Radioactive Tour, from the moment I met Rita we've had a great connection and doing something like this together felt like a natural progression," said Dundas. "The costumes have impact and flamboyance in a way that feels personal to Rita whilst staying true to the Emilio Pucci aesthetic."

The costumes were designed with the "best possible freedom of movement" being the key creative concept in order to allow the performer to fully execute her choreography. The idea of movement was coupled with the re-interpretation of key themes from the brand's spring/summer 2013 collection, producing outfits that includes a metallic armour-inspired bodice, a military camouflage jumpsuit and a flowing golden cape.
