Nervous System created a 4D dress using their Kinematics System, which is a 4D printing system that generates complex, fold-able forms. The dress is made up of 2,279 unique triangular panels interconnected by 3,316 hinges in nylon fabrication.

The Kinematics System is great, because there is no need to put pieces together. A garment {dress, skirt or shirt} is ready to wear when it comes out of the printer!

Nervous System also created the Kinematics Cloththeir first app for clothing

This 4D dress below was produced in about 48 hours, using Shapeways factory in NYC.
