Runway Love: Christian Siriano New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014 RTW Collection + Watch This!!

 This latest collection from Christian Siriano is just GORGE! I love to see a designers' growth from collection to collection...remember Siriano won season 4 of Project Runway?!

I loved him immediately; he has that IT for fashion! Christian Siriano also went to AIU-abroad {my dean was so proud}...so I gotta show my fashion love for him! =D

This Fall/Winter 2014 RTW collection is superb..very polished and chic. I feel the chick wearing this collection is a chick of power {like a Anna Wintour *not all looks* or other fashion elite}. Lady-Chic appeal is for 2014. Christian Siriano designs looks that command attention..the different silhouettes have just enough detail. Siriano knows how to edit and the overall styling made my heart grow fonder!

That Fashion Chick Lakia Fashae' working...{structured A-line skirt}

I Instagramed this while I was sewing...

Hello you fashioners! Check out my {Lakia Fashae'} latest piece for my current collection in progress...Structured A-line Skirt.

 Once the collection is finished I can explain my true vision.

I draped the skirt on the mannequin...no pattern. { I make patterns too}



This is the middle piece..it wasn't suppose to be a V but
I  had to 'make it work'!

I just have some minor fixtures and I need to set-in the zipper as well as hem...then I model it! =D

Here is my blazer-vest I shared prior {via twitter}

I've been working so hard on That Fashion Chick the company and revamping TFCB {I do a lot of random work off the blog} that I have been kind of sidetracked on my whole main purpose in the fashion industry…Designing! After going to school to learn my craft, it seemed like the business part took over. My focus on my collection is back and priority Now!  

   

Another aspect of this blog is to watch my growth as a designer {fashionista}, so I will do better in documenting my work.  I actually have some really great opportunities on the table {I can’t say anything yet} that I will be sharing! Super Excited!! This piece you see is from my current collection for fall/winter season.

 At times I want to pull out my hair, because the lining is annoying lol.  I just have to get the fit right.

I just have to hand-stitch a couple parts and hem the bottom...then I will model it!  I have to practice all I can. My sights are also on Project Runway. ;-)

I am super nervous right now. This can go either way, but I need your HELP so I can at least have a fighting chance!

  I am always searching for the larger platform to display my passion for fashion as a whole.  I really have a vision of what it is I want to bring to the fashion industry, and so far I been on the right track!

I am making this a ritual of mine to try out for Project Runway every year until I get on. lol  This is tryout #2...they will get to know me quickly, because I just wont stop.  It can never hurt to try ever.  You never know what they are looking for, but I hope to get a spot on Project Runway {NOW} or in the future!

I need your help, pretty please with ice cream and sprinkles then a cherry on top << overkill??

I dont know when PR will be picking the 1 lucky person , so we have to move fast!
