This news is all over the fashion blogosphere! Everyone is talking about the new collection {recently launched} by Christian Louboutin called The Nudes. You know about that trick to match your stockings to your shoes to give the illusion of looking taller {classic fashion trick}? Well, Louboutin has created The Nudes, which consists of heels blending with your skin tone from fair to dark {choose from five different shades}. Louboutin even has an app called Louboutin Shades that takes a picture of your foot and matches your skin tone to one of the listed shades.

“The shoes are there to give the woman an extra lift, not to take attention away from the legs and what she is wearing. They disappear like magic and become a fluid extension of her legs, as in a sketch, elongating the silhouette.”~Christian Louboutin

FIT has a shoe porn exhibit

Check it out The Museum of FIT in NYC has a new exhibit featuring over 150 pieces of contemporary footwear.  You will see your favorite designers like Christian Louboutin amongst the shoes featured.

This exhibit is important and so necessary, because guess what...shoes are at an all time high {not hard to believe}. Shoes have doubled with in the past decade according to Valerie Steele.

Valerie Steele, museum curator and fashion historian, American women own twice as many shoes on average than they did ten years ago. “We realized that we were in an era of unprecedented shoe obsession,” she told us over email. Steele believes that shoes have taken over handbags as the new “it” accessory, simply because “shoes are more fun than bags.”

A book will be available on April 1 {'Shoe Obssession'} about the entire exhibit.

Celeb's favorite shoe designer, Christian Louboutin, will be breaking into the beauty market!  Without a doubt, Christian Louboutin has had phenomenal success with his popular red bottoms {remember he just celebrated 20 years}.  Louboutin is partnering with Batallure Beauty, LLC for these "unspecified" products that will be in stores next year. 

He told WWD that he finds Nefertiti particularly inspiring, calling her limestone bust at Berlin's Neues Museum "the most beautiful thing. I stayed like an hour just looking at [it]. It's a perfect beauty and the makeup is quite perfect."

This should be great. I'm sure there is a special red lipstick to compliment his sexy red bottom soles!

Prada has designed its version of what is being called the "sinner shoe".  Do you remember Christian Louboutin's "Sex" shoes??

Alright Beyonce, walk in these and put a show on in these!  Honestly, if any one could pull these off  in the proper manner, it would be Beyonce.

These 8-inch ballerina heels are ridiculously gorgeous.  The heels are design by the red bottom shoe maker, Christain Louboutin, for the English National Ballet.  Agent Provocateur, Moschino, Erdem and seven other designers joined Louboutin in donating couture items to help raise money for dance company.

Good for them, hope they made big bucks.  The ballerina heels are a nice touch and creatively designed.

Fashion has its SUITS

The fashion industry has been having its share of drama that's been going around lately, i.e. John Galiano. Although, that is not nearly as drama-filled and this situation. This has to do with copyright infringement. 


Popular shoe designer to the stars, Christian Louboutin, is suing his fellow iconic designer, Yves Saint Laurent, over using his signature red soles and selling the shoes in the same select Manhattan stores. Talk about adding insult to injury.


The "red sole" has been a Christian Louboutin signature since he stepped on the fashion scene with his boutique in 1991.  In 2008, Louboutin trademarked the design here in America.
