Louis Vuitton announced: Nicolas Ghesquière WILL replace Marc Jacobs

Well looky, looky Louis Vuitton has finally revealed their replacement. The new Artistic Director for Louis Vuitton is Nicolas Ghesquiere, who is the former Creative Director of Balenciaga!

Not bad LV not bad, but following Marc Jacobs' lead...I'm sure Nicolas 'got this'.

We posted about Alexander Wang being announced as the new Creative Director of Balenciaga, so this is a nice turnaround for Nicolas.

Louis Vuitton initially denied the reports of Nicolas Ghesquiere being named as the replacement for Marc Jacobs {contract ends in 2014}. Silly rabbits! lol  =D

M.I.A + Versace {Versus} Collaborate....coming VERY SOON!

 I love my Chick M.I.A, she is full of art! She is about to expand her creativity on a collaboration collection with the new Versus label by Versace {Versace, Versave, Versace!}.

The picture to the left is recording artist M.I.A at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week where she dropped the news:

“I have a collaboration with Versace coming out in two weeks,” she told WWD

The line is said to be coming in 2 weeks {wow that's soon}and just in time to promote her latest album 'Matangi' dropping on November 5, 2013, which will be a must buy! =D

Can't wait to see this collection!

Debut: Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2013 Collection {Alexander Wang debut} + Watch This!!

Here it is, the much anticipated Balenciaga collection {fall/winter '13}, by Alexander Wang since being announced last year as the new designer over the fashion house.

I must say, I am impressed {I new AW could do it:}.  Balenciaga is a well respected fashion house that has a distinguished ascetic and Alexander Wang was able to still capture it, in is this collection. 

The silhouettes are very simple with clean lines. The shapes of the silhouettes add that fashion aspect {or wow factor} to the collection. This is a must see, wear and buy!

Alexander Wang {recently announced as head over Balenciaga's fashion house} has some pretty kool lifestyle pieces in luxe fashion!  Wang has come up with this special gift collection for EVERYONE you know.

Balenciaga confirms Alexander Wang as new Creative Director!

We were waiting to post..it is official and ALL over the internet.  Balenciaga and PPR have announced the appointment of designer Alexander Wang as Creative Director of the Balenciaga fashion house, like as of TODAY! 

Wang’s responsibilities will include designing for the fashion house woman’s and men’s read-to-wear and accessories collections as well as the Balenciaga image.  Wang is going to be a busy man. He will also continue to run his own {independent} fashion house.  This is all a win, win situation…just get your rest AW! 

Balenciaga is one of our favorite labels here at TFC.  It is going to be interesting to see what Alexander Wang comes up with, but he is a true artist, so no pressure!;)

Fragrances we are loving {Blumarine + Balenciaga}

I’ve got some more perfumes I’ve been checking out aside from my fave at the moment,  Roberto Cavalli.  You know a perfume/cologne kind of sets the tone of your look.  Think of it as a scented soundtrack lol {probably makes no sense, but you get it}.

I’m following Fashion Bomb Daily’s guest writer, Angela Simmons' {Fashion Chick} post, which are awesome.  Angela shared her favorite perfume she’s been using for the past two years,  Tom Ford’s Black Orchid. It is a great post, and I left her a comment! {read Angela’s post here}

 I really love the presentation of the bottle, and the packaging definitely draws you in.  It’s classy and edgy, which brings me to the smell.  When I smell Florabotanica by Balenciaga, it puts me in the mind of a powerful woman who is in charge{my imagination}.  It’s a strong but womanly scent.  This would be a scent I would wear for special occasions like an event.  The scent is a great representation of the Balenciaga Chick.

This scent is soooo NICE and very womanly! The packaging is classy and luxe looking.  The smell is soft and inviting.  From the summary of the description, it’s a love potion {my words}. Hint, hint Chicks! I would use Innamorata by Blumarine as an everyday scent.  This one just may be my next scent.

Here are two amazing collections that recently showed in Paris. Balenciaga {dear to my heart} and Balmain both had eye catching shows!  Both of these collections were about structure, print play, fabrication and simple-chic appeal.  These are two must see collections that exemplifies That Fashion Chick kind of style nicely.

Lindsey Wixson covers Flare

Lindsey Wixson's signature gapped teeth and luscious full lips has made her a very sought after model. She has walked for Chanel, Marc Jacobs and Christian Dior and now the 18 year old has snagged the cover of the September issue of Canadian fashion magazine Flare. The issue will hit the newsstands August 6th.
