Get The Scoop!!: Sarah Jessica Parker + Manolo Blahnik {collection}

Sarah Jessica Parker is working on a  shoe collection

Okay, you know I take fashion {and everything in it} serious. I don't cosign all celebrities when they enter the fashion world, but I do have some exceptions. They are the ones I can tell have a real appreciation for the craft. One is SJP!

I dig her style off set and on the red carpets. I don't think she has to really use a stylist except for big camera moments. Oh and remember she was creative director at Halston for 2 years.

Get The Scoop below!

Who: Sarah Jessica Parker + Manolo Blahnik
What: SJP is launching a collection with MB CEO George Malkemus as her business partner. It will consist of shoes, sandals, bags and trench coats in the price range of $200-$700. The collection will be called SJP!
When: 2014

We are going to be ALL over this as soon as it drops!

The Cut

Noooo!.... Could Halston be going out of business?

Halston has hired an investment bank to look into possibly selling the label. It gets interesting, because in 2007, Harvey Weinstein and Hilco Consumer Capital got the label in hopes to bring it back stronger to the market, with the help of Tamara Mellon, founder and President of Jimmy Choo.

They even brought Sarah Jessica Parker on board to oversee the lower-priced line, Halson Heritage.  That fell through when CEO Bonnie Takher left leaving Parker mentor-less.
The problem is boiling down to more money needed for growth.  The company is already four years out, but investors are not quite sold on putting in their chips.
Lets hope something shakes here.  Halston is a great label!
